I will kill youOh this photo makes me laugh so much!

The cat Rufus’ face looks like he is about to kill and eat the children in their sleep. So funny.

Happy 50th Anita

Today my fabulous cousin Anita made it to the grand age of 50 – I reckon she is wearing pretty well.

She had a fab BBQ in the garden and it was lovely to catch up with a load of family and drink plenty of prosecco!

Feeding time at the zoo

Tea-time for all the cousins. They generally get on pretty well with each other, barring a few elbows to the faces and a bit of pinching and shoving. I think they mostly love each other.

FamilyMy cousin Stefi and her husband Rhys have been on the island for a few days.

This morning we went for a lovely walk on the beach with them and my sister. This photo was taken with mine and my sister’s kids and they all seem to rather adore Big Rhys (as he is affectionately known in our house!) – he is like a big kid himself and the children love this!

Over the last week or so I have come to realise more than every just how much I value my family. I enjoy spending time with (most of!) them and I appreciate their love, care and support in my life. I am hugely fortunate that my lovely husband also likes me family and is happy to spend time with them. No matter what happens I know that my family will be there for me.

Safe onward journey Stef and Rhys. Come home soon x

Day 328

Cousins

A good walk on the beach always blows the cobwebs away.

These two make me smile – cousins forever and hopefully friends too.

Day 295

Big Cousin Bec

Today my beautiful (and oldest!) cousin Beccy turned 50.

It hasn’t been an easy year for her as both her Mum and Dad passed away earlier this year, however she has done amazingly well. We gathered together as a family yesterday to have cake and tea and to celebrate but today was her actual birthday

I am super proud of Rebecca the Wrecker…. she will always be a special cousin to me! x

Day 294

Young Guns vs Old Timer

Today we went to my cousin Beccy’s house for a cup of tea and cake for her birthday tomorrow.

As is fairly typical, there tends to be children careering around the place, or fighting somewhere. In this case it was the the old arm-wrestling pro Uncle Rich putting the young upstart Joe in his place. Experience and technique matter apparently!

Day 263

Grandpa and his grandchildren

My cousin Stef has been over this week staying with my Dad. We went to his house after school where we fed kids pizza, they played in the garden and then they went to an after school club.

I love this picture of my Dad and his grandchildren. It pretty much sums them all up. They are naughty, mischievous little creatures and they love their Grandpa very much.

Day 218

Cousins

Another photo from yesterday’s outing.

Four cousins together shaking the fundraising bucket!

We are lucky they get to spend so much time together!

Day 202

Mr & Mrs Le TissierWhat a fabulous wedding! Today on a gorgeous hot and sunny day my ‘little’ cousin Tom married Izzy.

I really enjoyed this wedding, partly because I was away with my sister, Dad, cousins and a bunch of aunts and uncles and we were nearly all staying at the wedding venue hotel.

It was fun being around everyone and I had a great day. Much love to Mr & Mrs Le Tissier. May life bring you much joy and hope together.
