2013 Project365 (Day 22)

West Coast walkIt was a slow and lazy start to the day for The Mister, The Little Mister and myself. I mean it was grim out there… raining and cold.

Eventually the weather cleared up and we managed to get out for a short walk across the beach to Grandes Rocques and then back to Cobo Tearooms. They have been shut for a few weeks and reopened today. Just as well as I have been dreaming about their Victoria Sponge cake.

This photo is of The Mister with his parents and The Little Mister is tucked up snugly somewhere in that buggy!

2013 Project365 (Day 21)

Kitchen tilesWe are so close to being able to move into our house! Our builder has been tiling the kitchen but he is less than amused about having to do a brick pattern. We think it looks fab and adds a little bit of interest (admittedly it looks slightly like a public toilet, but who has a dishwasher in their loo, eh?!)

I am just looking forward to being able to start unpacking all my kitchen equipment now. It’s going to be like Christmas all over again.

2013 Project365 (Day 20)

Bathing beautyWe are trying to get The Little Mister used to having a bath in the evening before bed. Hopefully it will start to give him some routine. The last couple of evenings we have bathed him in the lounge in front of the fire as the rest of the house has felt really chilly.

I spent a lot of my time during my pregnancy in the bath. It was one of the places I was comfortable and inevitably I would get into a lovely hot, bubbly bath and go straight to sleep.

I think my love of the bath has rubbed off on The Little Mister. He seems to really enjoy it and happily kicks away Very cute!

2013 Project365 (Day 19)

Baby smilesThe Little Mister is getting more and more interesting every day.

When I am feeding him he watches me so intently and you can almost see him change day by day. He has just started showing a few flashes of genuine smiles and they are just gorgeous.

He loves this baby gym and will happily spend some time underneath it watching the little animals that are hanging from it.

My heart is full of love for this gorgeous little boy. We are so fortunate.

2013 Project365 (Day 18)

A smattering of snowBeing so far south Guernsey rarely gets any snow, so when we do the whole island grinds to a halt.

The Mister and I woke up to a blanket of white and decided that all the jobs we were going to go out and do today could wait. We lit the fire, and sat around with the mother-in-law and the Little Mister, snuggled up under blankets, knitting, reading and watching TV.

The snow is melting fast and I anticipate we will be back to normal tomorrow. A day of nothing much has been lovely though.

2013 Project365 (Day 17)

Grandma BerylLast night my mother-in-law arrived to see her grandson for the first time. She is not keen on flying so getting here is always a bit of an ordeal for her.

As usual Grandma came bearing gifts, but this time they were mainly for the Little Mister. It would seem that all her friends gave her lovely clothes to bring and she had been busy knitting more cardigans. The Little Mister’s knitwear wardrobe is on the way to being more substantial than mine!

2013 Project365 (Day 16)

ShadowsThe Little Mister was really unsettled this afternoon. He would guzzle down his milk and then end up puking it all up again. He hasn’t wanted to be put down at all and I haven’t got anything done.

I decided to take him out in the pram for a quick walk across the beach. A gorgeous but chilly day and the low sun was just beautiful. As we left the house he promptly went to sleep. He stayed asleep throughout the walk when he woke 5 minutes from home and resumed screaming. Typical!!

2013 Project365 (Day 15)

Vazon beachThis afternoon I went with my sister and the children to Vazon beach. It was absolutely freezing down, mainly because the wind was bitingly cold, but it was lovely to be out and about.

We took a walk across the beach to the groynes before heading up to the new Vista cafe for a most satisfactory coffee.

I have been tucking The Little Mister up in the Close sling which he seems to like and it saves me having to take the buggy out.

Sleeping babiesThis was the sight that greeted me the other morning when I woke up. Husband and baby snoring peacefully next to me. Cute!

2013 Project365 (Day 13)

Feeding the ducksI am tired out today as last night Edward’s fussiness did not improve for many hours!

In an attempt to blow away the cobwebs I went to the park with my sister and brother-in-law and niece and nephew.

It was extremely cold and very muddy, but can there be anything better than walking through puddles when you are wearing wellies? Even adults like it!
