2016 Project366 (Day 203)

Chillies

The garden is becoming very productive and we planted a chilli plant as a bit of an experiment.

To say that it is producing well is an over-statement! I am starting to chop and freeze the chillies so that I can keep them for later in the year.

2016 Project366 (Day 202)

Such a pickleThe Little Miss is being really difficult at the moment.

She is pretty much refusing to go to bed and she spent ages reading her books before trashing the room and emptying the drawers.

Eventually she crawls into bed and goes to sleep but tonight this was 9.30pm.

Any ideas what to do with her?

2016 Project366 (Day 201)

Cobo swim

It has been absolutely roasting today, up to 34 degrees. Much too hot to be working in the office. I thought this new office had air con but there has been precious little evidence of this today!

After work we went to my sister’s house where the kids had tea and then we headed to Dad’s house to walk down to the beach for a swim at high tide.

It was absolutely gorgeous down there tonight. Heaving with people but still hot sun and sparkly but extremely cold sea. Living here is such a gift and one that we intend to enjoy as much as possible.

Little and large

I sang in a lovely concert tonight at The Town Church but I have absolutely no photos of that at all!

Instead here is a picture of my first tomatoes. Little and large and they smell delicious!

2016 Project366 (Day 199)

Sunny Sunday

Hot and sunny today. We had a lovely trip into town for the Motorsport Seafront Sunday which fed the father-in-laws obsession with cars.

We then returned home and got the paddling pool out. We finished off with a barbecue. What a brilliant end to the weekend.

Cobo chips

Another lovely sunny day and we spent quite a bit of time at the National Hill Climb.

We had lunch in town and then headed to Cobo beach for a swim and fish and chips for tea. There are definite advantages to living on this little rock!

Cobo sunset

It has been a lovely day with the kids swimming lessons this morning, lunch in town and a trip on Le Petit Train followed by an evening outing to Castle Cornet for the start of their summer music event.

On the way home we stopped off at Cobo Beach as there was the most glorious sunset. Gorgeous.

2016 Project366 (Day 196)

GreenhouseWhen my Dad and husband built my greenhouse they kept the full length of the sleepers and turned it into a fabulous flower bed.

It is the ideal place to grow sweet peas and they are absolutely thriving.

Best friends

These two love this beautiful gentle pussy cat.

Little Betty happily sleeps on their beds and puts up with quite a lot of prodding and poking.

A house isn’t really a home without pussy cats and we are lucky to have three lovely ones.
