A nice new mug from my best friend. Thought I would take it into work so that it gets plenty of use and hopefully it won’t get nicked!

A year in pictures – Day 15
This afternoon I took The Little Mister to the cinema for the first time. It was a special showing of The Secret Life of pets and the local animal shelter had animals to stroke and look at before the film started.
I have to admit that I laughed at the film – The Little Mister enjoyed it but I think I enjoyed it more!

A year in pictures – Day 13
Having two children at pre-school means that we now get two lots of creative junk art delivered home on a regular basis.
This is The Little Mister’s latest offering. I like the way it is nicely even, he seems to have placed the pieces of pasta in a well thought out way. Maybe we have the next Tracey Emin on our hands.
We tried to offer this piece to Grandpa as a gift to take home with him. Sadly he declined.

A year in pictures – Day 11
This had to be today’s picture!
About 6 years ago (I think!) my cousin Stefi came to live with my parents in Guernsey as her parents are missionaries out in South America. So, my Mum and Dad gained a teenager who was about to start her post 16 qualifications!!
Stefi is awesome in so many ways. She is funny, dippy and not very organised at times, creative, amazing with the kids, kind, generous and loving and generally the most fantastic littlest cousin I have. She is also one of The Little Miss’ godmother. A role I know she takes enormously seriously.
She has become more like a little sister (quite an annoying one at times) and I am hugely grateful that she has been present so much in our lives over the last few years.
Today she graduated with a First Class degree in drama (I think!) which for someone with dyslexia is a massive achievement. She asked my Dad to go to her graduation and he was as proud of her as he was of me and my sister. Of course she had to trump us both by getting a first whereas Louise and I only got 2.1s!
My Mum would have been extraordinarily proud of Stef. She loved her like she was her own daughter and she invested a lot of time in her, helping her educationally and giving her confidence in the process. Mum would have super-proud and so am I.
We love you Stef. Great job. x
