Day 190

Poorly GrandpaUnfortunately Dad has been feeling really poorly for the last couple of dayys as he has had viral labyrinthitis. It is making him feel really sick every time he moves his head.

I popped down to make him supper and Eliza came with me, in her nightie as she was all ready for bed!

Beach lovers

We are making the most of the gorgeous weather and getting in as many beach trips as possible.

Today it was Port Soif for a barbecue and a swim. It was a perfect time and hot hot hot!

Day 187

Betty

Betty is making steady progress since her surgery. She runs about at speed on three legs but when she is walking slowly she puts her leg down and she is weight-bearing well. Hopefully her recovery is going well and she will be fit and well in the long-term.

Day 185

My Epic WeekThis week it is My Epic Week – raising money for the Guernsey Cheshire Homes and This is Epic.

The local leisure centre has had various events going on all week and they have these display stands there.

I asked the kids to strike a pose – The Little Mister outdid them all!

Day 184

African hatsThe Little Mister’s School has been doing about Africa so I fished out of the loft the two hats that Dad bought back from Burkina Faso. I think The Little Miss wears it well.

Day 183

Viaer MarcheTonight was the Viaer Marche at Sausmarez park – one of my favourite evenings out.

As usual we dined on Guernsey bean jar, Guernsey gache, Guernsey biscuits and Guernsey ice-cream. Plenty of carbs and fat and it was delicious!

As usual they had lots of traditional crafters demonstrating their skills and it was lovely to see this young boy making crab pots. Sadly I suspect many of these skills are a dying art.

Day 182

Sweet peas

My favourite flowers are sweet peas and we have a bumper crop this year which means I get to pick them most days.

They look beautiful and smell divine.
