These gorgeous, mild December days are perfect for beach visits and walks.
We had another lovely walk across Vazon with Emma and the kids. Unfortunately the children were less compliant in having their photos taken!
This evening we went to the house of one of Edward’s school friends. The kids ran riot whilst we drank fizz and ate nibbles. It was an awesome evening.
We walked up there so we could have a few drinks and knowing the kids would be tired we took the trolley with us. It is easier than listening to the whinging on the way!
We also stopped to visit my Mum’s grave on the way there – it is such a beautiful view from the cemetery – even a sea view!
As is tradition in Guernsey we went to Cobo beach for the Boxing Day swim. It was a gorgeous day, mild and sunny and the beach was absolutely heaving. I have never seen so many people go in at this swim – over 700 I reckon.
It was bloody freezing but I went in and I even swam about a bit. The Little Miter is made of seriously stern stuff though and he skipped in and out of the water for ages – I am sure he doesn’t feel the cold at all!
Thank goodness we have made it to the end of term. Tired children and tired children and we are all ready for Christmas and a break.
After school we went to my friends house where the kids played, we fed them carbs and we watched a film and chilled out.
Good friends with excellent taste as we have matching Christmas jumpers, although we bought them completely independently!
(Disclaimer: This picture has been shamelessly nicked from my Zumba instructor!)
Tonight was a our last Zumba before Christmas and that meant, fancy dress, dingy boppers, Christmas music and even a couple of Santa Claus.
I absolutely love Zumba. It is great exercise, makes me laugh a lot and is awesome for my mood.
Love this bunch of crazy people.
