Day 363

Fat EricThis very guilty little pussy cat arrived in the kitchen with a feather attached to his whiskers.

It was like seeing a small child with a face full of chocolate who denies eating anything. I have yet to find what small creature this ginger beast had for breakfast.

Day 362

Beach walks

These gorgeous, mild December days are perfect for beach visits and walks.

We had another lovely walk across Vazon with Emma and the kids. Unfortunately the children were less compliant in having their photos taken!

Day 361

Mum's grave

This evening we went to the house of one of Edward’s school friends. The kids ran riot whilst we drank fizz and ate nibbles. It was an awesome evening.

We walked up there so we could have a few drinks and knowing the kids would be tired we took the trolley with us. It is easier than listening to the whinging on the way!

We also stopped to visit my Mum’s grave on the way there – it is such a beautiful view from the cemetery – even a sea view!

Day 360

Boxing Day Swim

As is tradition in Guernsey we went to Cobo beach for the Boxing Day swim. It was a gorgeous day, mild and sunny and the beach was absolutely heaving. I have never seen so many people go in at this swim – over 700 I reckon.

It was bloody freezing but I went in and I even swam about a bit. The Little Miter is made of seriously stern stuff though and he skipped in and out of the water for ages – I am sure he doesn’t feel the cold at all!

Day 359

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. We had a delightfully relaxing morning and lunchtime, eating food and opening presents and then we wandered down to my sister’s house for dinner.

A lovely Christmas Day with the people I love most.

Day 358

Watching and waitingI had a busy day of food prep and wrapping presents. The children are very excited.

We went to a Christingle Service at church late this afternoon. One of my favourite services because it always seems so bonkers. Love this photo though of my beautiful daughter.

Day 357

Birthday

Today is my birthday. I have had a lovely day; church followed by lunch at a restaurant and mince-pies and tea at my cousins house with the rest of the family.

Quiet and relaxed and I am very grateful for my lovely family and friends who are around me.

Day 355

Christmas jumpers

Thank goodness we have made it to the end of term. Tired children and tired children and we are all ready for Christmas and a break.

After school we went to my friends house where the kids played, we fed them carbs and we watched a film and chilled out.

Good friends with excellent taste as we have matching Christmas jumpers, although we bought them completely independently!

Day 354

Zumba party

(Disclaimer: This picture has been shamelessly nicked from my Zumba instructor!)

Tonight was a our last Zumba before Christmas and that meant, fancy dress, dingy boppers, Christmas music and even a couple of Santa Claus.

I absolutely love Zumba. It is great exercise, makes me laugh a lot and is awesome for my mood.

Love this bunch of crazy people.
