Grief management

This morning I had the day off work and took my two kids, and their friends Ava and Maxi to a local soft-play area. It was surprisingly quiet and the venue is set-up so the kids can’t escape as the doors are locked. It means I can just sit, and do the crossword and drink tea. My only deal with the kids is that they come back every now and then to tell me they are ok, still here and not bleeding or anything awful.

I was reading The Times from the weekend and there was a rather brilliant article on grief and advice on how to ‘do’ it well. Some of the advice was really good but this little quote really struck me and I thought it made a lot of sense.
