Lockdown Day 53

I have had a lovely, but busy day today. We filled up the van and headed to my Dad’s warehouse to take some more stuff from the loft. The kids were super-excited to ride in Dad’s little red car.

We then went to Dad’s house to make use of his flat garden and we carried out a but of a tent inventory! This morning we had 5 tents and we now have three – we got rid of two fairly big tents and now we just have our Cabanon Pyramide tent and two small tents. It was a successful but busy afternoon putting them up, checking they are in decent condition and putting them away. The Little Miss helped Grandpa potting up his troughs.

This evening I went out with my friend Emma for a walk. I have missed her loads and we really enjoyed a long walk through the lanes of the Castel and into St Saviours. We puffed (me not her!) our way up a hill until we got to the most beautiful view over the West coast and Emma produced two small bottles of fizz and some glasses. She knew that I’d had a tough day yesterday as I was missing Mum, and I appreciated this thoughtful gesture so much.

It was a great evening with a lovely friend and reminded me so much of all the good lovely and precious things that we have in our lives.
