2015 Project365 (Day 268)

Mum

The 25th of September marks the two year anniversary since Mum died.

I still can’t believe that she isn’t with us and it seems impossible that two years has fled by since my sister and I received that awful phone call from Dad.

It goes without saying that we miss her dreadfully. I have realised that there is so much that I took for granted about Mum. She did so much in the background which meant that our lives ran more smoothly and more easily. She wasn’t a complainer and she just got on with stuff. I miss that about her.

More than anything I miss her company. The easy companionable time we spent together just walking, cooking, playing Scrabble and laughing. A lot, and often.

I miss her so much and I wish more than anything she was still here.

However, life is good and we have a lot to be thankful and Dad, amy sister and I often comment on how proud Mum would be of how we have got on with things.

We love you Mum. Wish you were still here. A la perchoine xxxx
