A year in pictures – Day 359

25 December

Christmas Day and we had such a lovely day spent with family.

This morning we spent time chilling out in front of the fire opening presents. The kids were pretty excited although their biggest gasps were reserved for the fact that Father Christmas had been and he head eaten all the biscuits but Rudolph had only eaten half his carrot.

My sister and I cooked lunch at Dad’s house. We did a pretty good job although due to gossiping a lot and drinking a bit of prosecco we managed to overcook quite a bit of food. In the end it was a pretty decent meal.

This is what I appreciate most about Christmas Day, time with our family. As usual we miss Mum loads and life just isn’t quite the same without her but I think we are making a pretty good go at life without her.

Merry Christmas everyone x
