2016 Project366 (Day 150)

Friends

We have had a lovely day and friends joined us this afternoon for a barbecue.

There is nothing I like more than a bottle of prosecco, a good catch up and happy children (mostly happy anyway) playing together, even if they did all end up absolutely soaking from the water table!

Roll on summer with more barbecues and many more bottles of prosecco!

2015 Project365 (Day 185)

Barbecue time

It’s been a lovely day here today.

This afternoon I sang at a wedding and then friends came over for a barbecue tea.

Admittedly we spent most of the time shouting at the kids to either stop crying or stop battering each other. Nonetheless it was a most enjoyable evening!

2014 Project365 (Day 137)

Family fun

It has been a lovely day here today, warm and sunny and we planned a family barbecue for the aunts and uncles. It was a nice chance to get together and we used the excuse of Mum’s birthday to convene such a gathering!

As ever we had an epic amount of food, including a rather fabulous selection of desserts.

The children had a lovely day playing in the paddling pool and collecting worms from the garden!!!

2012 Project365 (Day 197)

The Pudding ScavengerTonight we had a family barbecue, even though it was raining. As always with one of our family do’s there was a lot of desserts…. it seems to me that it is a matter of family pride.

Eden, it would seem, is also a pudding lover and she is a little bit of a scavenger and she would go from person to person trying to eat bits of whatever they had in their bowl! Here she is with her favourite Uncle sharing his ice-cream.

2012 Project365 (Day 148)

Please let this be the start of summer!Another gorgeous sunny day and the decision was made to barbecue. Usually Sunday lunch consists of a roast dinner but there is nothing better than sitting out in the garden, eating barbecued meat and fresh salad and drinking wine.

I am holding out that this is the start of a long, hot summer. What are the chances?
