A year in pictures – Day 315

Christmas craft

The weather today has been pretty rubbish and the kids have been going stir crazy indoors.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered some craft stuff from a company called Baker Ross. We sat down together to make some Christmas cards and The Little Miss absolutely loved it but The Little Mister has the attention span of a cabbage!

Anyway, we managed to do some crafting and it was nice to sit and do something together.

2016 Project366 (Day 362)

She's behind you!

Today we took the kids to the local am-dram panto.

My niece and nephew really enjoyed it, my sister and brother-in-law hated it (not their thing at all) and every time the pantomime dame came on stage The Little Miss cried and kept saying ‘No like that lady’.

So, a moderate success!

Craft faye

Today I went to my Dad’s church to visit the craft fayre. There were loads of lovely things to buy, but especially my Auntie Jenny’s jams and chutnies.

The Little Miss was just happy that she had seen her Grandpa!

2015 Project365 (Day 295)

Blast off!According to The Little Mister this is his rocket and he keeps shouting BLAST OFF!!!

Since starting pre-school he has been bringing home all his new artwork and I have no idea what to do with it all. Some stuff gets stuck to the fridge, but 3D work is a new one for me.

I guess he can keep it for a while, and then we will recycle it!

Fabric heaven!

My mother-in-law brought me a bundle of fabric from the factory shop near them.

This is probably my favourite. The colours are muted and gorgeous and I think it will make an amazing pinafore for The Little Miss!

2015 Project365 (Day 202)

Fairyland CloaksWe now have about 10 days before we go on holiday and I have so much to do before we go.

I have a huge list and I am gradually working through it bit by bit and today I managed to cross this job after my list.

Here are two wizard cloaks ready for Fairyland. I am pretty happy how they turned out!

Incredible hatsMy sister’s neighbour is an incredibly talented milliner and last night she was opening her new exhibition at a local jewellers.

The hats were just fantastic and so creative and this little top hat was one of my favourites!

The champagne was nice too!

2015 Project365 (Day 174)

Sewing peace

I used to love sewing and I would happily spend many hours engaging in this hobby. Unfortunately I know have children and half my evening seems to be taken up with housework, tidying and general other stuff.

However, I have been making some wizard cloaks for a friend so I have spent a happy couple of hours trying my level best to work out the pattern. I think I am getting there now!

I wish I had a bit more time to get on with it though!

2015 Project365 (Day 111)

Knitted dollies

My Dad and my sister are heading out to Burkina Faso next week to open Mum’s school. It’s really exciting and I wish I was going with them.

They will also get to meet Dad’s sponsor girl so I sent an SOS to my mother-in-law because I wanted to sent her a couple of dollies.

I received these little lovelies in the post this morning. I think she will love them!
