Day 58

EdenIt was a snow day for the kids and I walked into work.

It was also my wonderful niece’s 7th birthday. As I always tell her, she is my very favourite niece and we went down to share in a piece of birthday cake.

Happy birthday Eden. I am sure the tankini and sunglasses we gave you will come in useful, just not this week!

2012 Project365 (Day 338)

Eden & BarnabasToday I was helping Mum look after Barnabas and Eden; well to be honest she was doing most of the looking after and I was just accompanying her.

We took a quick trip to the soft play area and this is the water feature in the lobby on the way out. I can’t wait until they have Winston to play with too!

2012 Project365 (Day 331)

ConcentrationThe Mister has bought a new lens for the camera – I have no idea what it is so don’t ask me any technical questions but it does take nice pictures.

My niece Eden was hilarious this afternoon. We were watching Kitten Cam and if you said to her, “Count the kittens Eden” she would go “Two, nine, two, nine” and then grin. I think we need to work on her counting!

2012 Project365 (Day 312)

So cool! Our niece Eden truly is the coolest little girl around.

She is also one of the feistiest. This evening I went up to help my Mum put them to bed whilst my sister and brother-in-law went to the cinema. She was fine until Mummy left and then we had full blown histrionics including lying weeping at the front door. Thank goodness for an iPhone full of photos of cats and her beloved Uncle!

She’s determined, but then again so am I. It was a battle of wills tonight. I won.

2012 Project365 (Day 269)

The veggie patchDad’s vegetable patch is nearing the end of the season, some things have done really well like the carrots, other things like the tomatoes have been a complete disaster.

So, we are eating up the last few beans and carrots that have been coming through. Delicious! Here are Barnabas, Eden and Mum digging them up.

Just as well the veggie patch is coming to the end of the season though, dad has plenty to be getting on with in our house!

2012 Project365 (Day 268)

Trouble x3My sister and my brother-in-law have gone to London for the night and Mum is in charge of their kids. Unfortunately this house is full to the brim so she has had to go up to their house to sleep for the night. When The Mister and I arrived home from work she seemed quite grateful to see us to help us entertain Barnabas and Eden for a bit.

They are full of beans and great fun, and Barnabas is definitely understanding about the baby which is very sweet. It will be lovely for Winston to have big cousins to play with!

2012 Project365 (Day 258)

16 September 2012After yesterday’s excitement I was absolutely shattered, so I had a bit of a lie in and then my sister and the kids came over for lunch. They have been on holiday so I have missed them.

Dad found a grasshopper on one of the flowers and Eden was really fascinated by it and kept trying to poke it. Barnabas was a little more nervous and didn’t want to hold it. Cute pic though.

2012 Project365 (Day 201)

Glorious GardenDad has been working hard to get his garden ready for North Show judging. The garden is looking absolutely lovely and even the sun came out to help things along.

The judges came around today so we will have to wait and see the outcome. Eden appreciated the beautiful flowers though.

2012 Project365 (Day 132)

Speedy!Mum was looking after the kids today so I spent a bit of time in the garden watching them run about.

Eden still isn’t quite walking on her own, she tends to drop to her knees and crawl as it’s quicker. However, she is speedy when she has her walker but the only problem is that she can’t turn around so she gets stuck when she hits the flower bed or the hedge or something. She is so fast though – she nearly ran me over when I was trying to take this photo!

The kids were on great form today and it is lovely to be able to spend more time with them.

2012 Project365 (Day 121)

Ew! Grubby! After work I popped in to see my sister and the kids. I was greeted with the sight of my niece, absolutely filthy and soaking wet from below the waist.

Their sandpit was full of grubby rainwater and Eden, being the grubster that she is, decided that there was much fun to be had getting in and out and splashing the water with her legs.

I think she looks so mischievous here!
