Puss cat

Still not feeling great but there is a definite theme at the moment with the cats keeping me company. I can’t imagine a house without them.. in fact I would like at least one more!

Chilling

It made me smile to see Eric chilling out in the garden and resting his head on the raised bit of concrete. It was like he had a pillow all ready for him!

Settling in

So many cat pictures. Sorry not sorry.

Since getting home Eric has cleaned himself up nicely and he is back to being super fluffy and soft.

He has spent most of the time lounging about on the beds and sofa. We will keep him in a few days and then let him out. I have a suspicion he won’t want to go anywhere at all!

Happy cat. Happy kids

Oh my word – the excitement this morning when the kids woke up and realised that Eric was home – they had both been in bed when he got back!

The Little Miss just sat there with her mouth open and this was the face from The Little Mister.

I took Eric to the vet this afternoon and he has no major injuries or problems, no fleas and just a few tick bites. All in all he’s in great nick for a cat that has been missing for so long. He has lost about a quarter of his body weight though so just as well he was fat before he went on his adventure!

The Wanderer Returns!

Well what a turn up for the books! Today (Not-as-fat-as-he-was) Fat Eric has been found!

I was tagged in a video on Facebook by a woman who found a lovey friendly cat in her stables. He had been there a couple of days – it certainly looked kike him so I drove up and collected the cat and took him to a local animal charity who scanned his chip and it was him!

Amazing to find him 12 weeks after he went missing and he is in pretty good condition all things considered – no obvious injuries, just a few little bites. We will take him to the vet tomorrow to be checked out.

I am so happy to have him home. I have no idea how he got so far – nearly 6 miles away. I suspect he got into a tradesman’s van and ended up in the middle of nowhere.

NB) Usually I get to blog about Mum’s birthday as today would have been her 68th birthday – this year the cat has trumped her!

Missing Eric

Our gorgeous pussy cat Eric has been missing for 4 days. It’s very unusual for him to go wandering and I am really worried about him.

The Little Miss and I went out putting leaflets through the doors of neighbouring properties. Unfortunately I have to say I fear the worst but I guess miracles do happen!

Day 35

Fat Eric

Daft cats will sleep everywhere. If it’s not the doll’s pram it is an open drawer.
