Day 275

Smashing

I got home from work today to find that one of the big panes of glass in our greenhouse was smashed. I have no idea who did it or what happened.

(Rather weirdly the next day we came home to find it had been fixed – I have no idea by whom. I can only assume it was the gardeners who then just repaired it. Weird!)

A year in pictures – Day 185

TomatoesMy tomatoes are doing well in the greenhouse this year.

We also have three cucumber plants which seem to be growing like triffids!

A year in pictures – Day 158

Greenhouse

The greenhouse is starting to burst into life and The Mister has build this frame to support the tomatoes… I think it should be strong enough to support the weight this year!

2016 Project366 (Day 239)

SunbathingAnother hot day today and the cats seem to find the best place to soak up the rays.

This spot in the greenhouse seems to be one of the favourites.

The children love this gentle pussy cat The Little Miss can often be seen attempting to ‘steer’ him with his tail!

2012 Project365 (Day 79)

Dad's DomainThis green house is my Dad’s domain. Here are a selection of his seedlings that have been planted out and are growing nicely, ready for him to plant out into his garden when the weather warms up a bit.

For as long as I can remember my Dad has spent most of his free time in the garden (or on the computer) and I think he uses gardening as stress relief. He potters out there before breakfast and as soon as he gets home from work and at the weekends he is out there all Saturday.

The pay off is that he has a lovely garden, full of dahlias, chrysanthemums and other flowers, and also a veggie patch with potatoes, beans, loads of tomatoes and raspberries and strawberries. Everything tastes so much better when you have just dug it up or picked it!
