A year in pictures – Day 57

Tula loveNo picture from today but this one was taken yesterday whilst we were out and about in town.

The Little Miss still loves going in the Tula sling (well when she wants to anyway!) and she was so comfortable yesterday that she dropped off to sleep.

It is certainly good exercise having an additional 2 stone lump on my back. Now, if only I could lose that amount of weight I am sure my knees would feel better!

2016 Project366 (Day 316)

Ninja-mamaFriday is my day off which is lovely as I get the chance to drop The Little Mister at pre-school and then pick him up. The pre-school has just moved to a new site which is an old school and they have a huge amount of fantastic outdoor space. Is is the most amazing improvement on what they had before.

When I went to do the pick-up The Little Miss was asleep in the car but with my ninja-mama skills I managed to transfer her from car seat to sling and she was still asleep. Such talent.

2016 Project366 (Day 298)

Sling love

No time for a photo of my own today and I haven’t been doing anything interesting anyway!

This is a photo that my father-in-law took whilst we were away in York. We recently bought a new Toddler Tula sling as the Ergo was getting a bit small. It is brilliant but there is no getting away from it, The Little Miss weighs a ton these days! However, when I need to carry her she is better in a sling than in my arms!

She loves being in it, and is so nosy that it means she can get a proper look at everything going on!

2016 Project366 (Day 113)

Still carryingThe weather today has been pretty awful and it has been thick fog and a bit damp.

I was off today so took a walk with the children and the inlaws and we went to Fort Grey which houses a shipwreck museum. The for is situated across a short causeway but the fog was so thick that we couldn’t really see it from the car park.

The Little Miss is getting really big but I am still managing to carry her in the Ergo. She’s definitely a lump though!

Gorgeous girlI love this gorgeous girl. Funny and smiley and she loves singing and her giggle is the best noise ever!

Also, I love the Ergo sling! So comfortable!

2015 Project365 (Day 279)

Sling loveThe Little Miss has been really fussy today. She has a nasty cough and is a bit wheezy.

I was trying to get dinner ready and she would not stop complaining so I managed to get her into a back carry in my bargain Ergo. Whilst she wasn’t exactly happy she was a bit better!

Of course she looks quite happy in this picture!

2014 Project365 (Day 14)

Me and my boyThis isn’t a picture I took today but it is a picture that makes me smile.

This is me and The Little Mister in the garden on Saturday when I was doing some pruning. He is in the Manduca carrier which he is generally quite happy in. It certainly makes life a bit easier if we have stuff to do in the house or the garden.

2013 Project365 (Day 158)

Connecta love7 June 2013 – This afternoon The Mister and I looked after our niece for a bit and we walked to the park.

Instead of putting the doubles kit on the buggy we decided to strap The Little MIster to The Mister in the Connecta sling. They both looked super-comfortable and I love seeing The Mister wearing the sling!

2013 Project365 (Day 66)

Connecta ConnectionA couple of weeks ago I bought a new sling for The Little Mister.

I did loads of research, looking at all the pros and cons and in the end I bought a Connecta. It is really easy to use, has buckles, a pattern on one side and plain black on the other so The Mister can also use it, and it is safe for the baby’s hips. It was also much cheaper than some of the other slings I looked at.

Depending on his mood The Little Mister either loves being in it or screams like a banshee. I am trying to give him more time in the sling so he gets use to it – he definitely needs to be used to it by the time we go to Greenbelt. If we have as much rain and mud last year a buggy isn’t going to be much use!

Tonight I cooked tea whilst The Little Mister was in the Connecta. He squawked a bit and then went to sleep.
