A year in pictures – Day 47

R & RI have been feeling off-colour for a couple of days after developing a nasty cold – shared by my children I think.

Usually I just power through but today I felt rough, I was tired and I felt like crying so I took the day off.

In comparison to my usual sleep pattern of about 6 hours I went back to bed and slept for a couple more hours so I had 8 hours 37 minutes. I feel like a new woman!

A year in pictures – Day 46

Chinny chin chinMy Dad has been away and he returned with some small gifts for the children .

He bought these fab earmuffs for The Little Miss and she absolutely loves them.

Funnily enough my Dad has a photo somewhere of me wearing a pair of massive 1980’s earphones when I was listening to a record – I will try and find it. I suspect The Little Miss and I look very alike – it’s the chins!

Valentine's DayValentine’s Day – over commercialised nonsense in general but I did want to put up a picture of my lovely husband.

Without a doubt he is the love of my life and is a fab husband and a truly wonderful Daddy. We are massively lucky to have him.

We love you Paul x

Spring DaffsI love flowers but I especially love spring flowers.

Daffodils are some of my favourites – they are so bright and cheerful and bring a welcome splash of colour to the kitchen table.

A year in pictures – Day 43

AhhhhI have had a very trying day with the children. They generally weren’t listening to what they were asked to do.

I then caught The Little Miss drawing on the carpet, our bedding and the chest of drawers with one of my lipsticks. To say I wasn’t happy was an understatement.

This afternoon we went to a kids birthday party and my friend Gillian fixed my stress with two large glasses of prosecco. Thank goodness for friends.

Sorting

It has been absolutely freezing today but The Mister and I had made plans to get into our loft and sort out a much stuff as possible.

We live in a bungalow which means we do not have a great deal or storage. Unfortunately this means that the loft is just a dumping group – it looks like a charity shop up there!

We managed to get a couple of hours done up there but it was so cold that we could see our breath. Still loads more sorting to do!!

A year in pictures – Day 41

SnackablesThe Little Miss and I went shopping at Waitrose today.

Rather conveniently there were lots of tasting stations on the way through.

We managed to have some chocolate pie on the way in, cheese and biscuits, marmalade ice-cream and prosecco.

A thoroughly acceptable shopping trip.

NB. The lovely lady in the purple coat is my Auntie Jen who rather enjoyed the ice-cream!

The NativesAnother park day for the children whilst I was stuck in work.

It makes me happy to get pictures of them enjoying themselves so much.

Park lifeAnother day at work for me and out to the park with the childminder for The Little Miss.

It was a lovely day, as evidenced by the photos that Jane kept sending me.

I have to admit that I was a bit envious of their time out and about!

Sleepy cat

This poor little pussy cat was just having a nice rest in the dolls bed when The Little Miss came along and tucked her up tight under the covers. She didn’t seem to mind so much.
