Advent Sunday yesterday and have the church Posada. Mary, Joseph and the Donkey are travelling around the island on their way to Bethlehem.
Today they got lost in some foliage and struggled to find their way out.
Tonight was a first for me in two different ways.
I am part of a fabulous Facebook group called Guernsey Swim All Seasons and I joined one of their group swims for the first time. The other first is that it was a night swim.
It was amazing! The sea at Cobo was flat calm and apart form the squeals of excitement (and the cold) of people getting in, it was incredibly peaceful.
Swimming in November. Who would have thought it?!!!
(Pic nicked from someone else… not sure who?!!)
We packed all our stuff up and squeezed it into the bags and then walked to Bill’s Restaurant for breakfast. We had an excellent breakfast and it was nice to get a bit of fresh air. The Sister was absolutely desperate to get on one of these electric scooters – they were absolutely everywhere around the city. I was terrified I would break a limb!
We caught the plane home at lunchtime and then I went out with The Mister and the Kids to see George’s Marvellous Medicine at the theatre. It was really good – the only problem was that I had terrible trouble keeping my eyes open!
It has been a wonderful weekend. I have really enjoyed having some proper time with my sister. I am so lucky that she is in my life.
