2012 Project365 (Day 304)

... and relax! It has been a busy week for everyone, but especially Mum as she has looked after Barnabas and Eden a bit more than usual.

I promised her that if she made it through the day then we would buy her dinner and a pint of Roquettes Cider at The Rockmount.

A good dinner, good company and a happy Mum with a pint of cider. Life is good.

Numbering crisis!

I have just realised that my numbering system is completely out and I have double numbered somewhere along the line… so tomorrow my Project365 will be 304!

I was gong to go back and renumber everything but I can’t be bothered!

2012 Project365 (Day 300)

BakingI had hoped for a more exciting photo for the big 300 but it hasn’t quite happened.

My Mum has been looking after my niece and nephew for the last couple of days as my sister has been in Uganda with her charity Hope For a Child. Dad has also gone with her to see the projects that they are supporting out there.

When I was a child I remember baking with Mum and it seems that she is keeping up the tradition with the grandchildren. Lovely.

2012 Project365 (Day 299)

Baby catMonday’s are becoming the day that I have to find an emergency photo because I have been really busy and I am often tired! As usual if I need one I resort of taking pictures of cats!

I think The Mister is practising his baby holding skills with Billy the cat. Admittedly Billy seems quite happy lying back and relaxing in The Mister’s arms and he will lie here quite contentedly for some time. Silly creature!

2012 Project365 (Day 298)

Christmas presents! This afternoon I spent several hours wrapping up Christmas presents. The one thing that I found more difficult than expected is that usually I sit on the floor and wrap the gifts, but my back hurts too much and my bump gets in the way!

I am not usually this organised but with the baby due on 16 December I don’t want to be unprepared so I am worrying about stuff when he makes an appearance. I was slightly undecided as to how to sign the gift cards though as we don’t know what the baby is going to be called yet, or if he is late, whether he will even be here for Christmas. I do hope so, I will be going nuts if I haven’t delivered by Christmas Day!

2012 Project365 (Day 297)

Sheep sheep!I had a busy morning and have pretty much managed to finish off my Christmas shopping.

At lunchtime today we had a family gathering as my cousin Mark married his lovely wife Jeannine a few weeks ago in London. So, any excuse to get together to enjoy ourselves. We had a lovely lunch and a chance to catch up with everyone.

It was also my cousin Caroline’s birthday today and next week it is Uncle John’s 70th birthday. Apparently he has a thing about sheep and he had this fabulous sheep cake.

My aunt had also bought him some sheep which she thought were going in the garden, but he has put them by the front door! I share his passion for sheep so obviously I have to get down and get friendly with them! So, a couple of extra pics today.

2012 Project365 (Day 296)

SunsetThis was taken at Cobo Beach yesterday. A beautiful sun setting at the end of an extremely busy week.

I am very, very grateful that it is the weekend!

2012 Project365 (Day 295)

25 October 2012As requested by pants and Alien here is a bump shot.

I am nearly 33 weeks pregnant and well into the third trimester, have completed all the parenting classes (so we will be experts at parenting!) and have learnt everything we need to know about pain relief and labour (so it should be a breeze!). I thought I had loads of time until someone on my online antenatal thread had her baby today, seven weeks early. That made me feel a bit panicky!

I generally feel ginormous, rolling over in bed is an effort and I come home from work most days, get in the bath and go straight to sleep. I am now looking forward to meeting our baby but I hope I make it to full-term because I don’t want to have to go on maternity leave early! I am fat but happy!

I have been most amused by how many of my clients (mainly male I hasten to add!) who haven’t even noticed I am pregnant! Really? Have you seen the size of my belly! They must be blind!!!

2012 Project365 (Day 294)

QuiltTonight we went out for a really nice Tennerfest Meal at The Crow’s Nest. We went with my cousin Nic and his wife Debbie and it was nice to have a chance to catch up as they are also expecting a baby a few days before we are. Unfortunately the photos I took are really dark and not that great.

So, a bit of craft instead. This is my ongoing quilt for the baby. I have been trying to work out how to place the rest of the zig-zag pieces. I have to admit that I am not that keen on it at the moment. I find it a bit insipid! Hopefully it will grow on me though!

2012 Project365 (Day 293)

23 October 2012I love this fabric and it is one of a pair of cushion covers which are on our bed. Rather surprisingly the covers were dirt cheap and from Ikea. I think they will go in our lounge when we move as they go particularly nicely with a bright red rug that we own.

Starting to plan how we are going to decorate the house is getting exciting now. I am going to sleep dreaming about paint colours, carpets and fitted wardrobes!
