2016 Project366 (Day 183)

1 July 2016Today this gorgeous boy, my nephew Barnabas is 7 years old. How did that happen? Time has slipped by so quickly. This was his present from Grandpa and he was delighted!

We went out for dinner to a restaurant with a soft play area to attached. My two mini-beasts were so shattered when they got home they more or less fell asleep as soon as they got into bed. Result!

2015 Project365 (Day 309)

FireworksI was meant to be at a work event tonight but I sacked that off in favour of going to watch my Dad and my brother-in-law play with fireworks. It’s always a rather concerning moment when you realise that the fireworks they have just lit have a) fallen over, b) failed to take off so they have exploded on the ground. Fortunately we all made it home in one piece.

I didn’t manage to take any decent photos of fireworks but here is a picture of my gorgeous nephew modelling a hat from his favourite football team!

2014 Project365 (Day 341)

Ice-danceIn previous years there has been a temporary real ice-rink in market square. Not this year!

This afternoon The Mister went ice-skating on a plastic-fake-ice skating experience with my sister and the kids.

My nephew Barnabas was doing really well assisted by his large plastic friend.

2014 Project365 (Day 310)

Smack down!

Tonight our niece and nephew came for tea as my sister and brother-in-law were at an early evening awards event.

It was fun, but absolute chaos. I agreed to feed them, bathe them and get them in their pyjamas, the only problem is that they start totally winding each other up and they were completely wired!

Just before bedtime they were wrestling in the middle of the lounge. I thought it was going to end in tears but somehow we got away with it!

2014 Project365 (Day 306)

The NephewThis gorgeous boy is my nephew Barnabas. He doesn’t seem to appear in as many pictures as my niece but he finally posed for one for me.

He is totally awesome and what makes me smile especially about him is how gentle he is with The Little Miss. He often comes up and gives her a little gentle stroke and kiss on the head.

I am so very glad that my children are growing up with their cousins.

2014 Project365 (Day 278)

Animal Castle

We had a much better night – thankfully!

Today my Dad and niece and nephew came for lunch. My sister and brother-in-law have been in Jersey as he was running the Jersey marathon. The kids have been staying with Dad and have had a lovely time.

This afternoon we went to Animal Castle at Castle Cornet. They were able to pet the donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises. Of course they managed to persuade Grandpa to pay for facepainting too.

It’s been a lovely day.

Speed freaksAnother beautiful day, another trip to the park.

This time we had a trip out with my sister and these two speed freaks.

A nice walk and decent coffee almost made up for the appalling night we had last night. Let’s hope The Little Mister is tired enough to sleep right through tonight!

Birthday boyToday is our lovely nephew Barnabas’ 5th birthday.

After work The Little Mister and I popped down to my sister’s to each cake and give him his birthday present.

He is such a fab little boy and The Little Mister absolutely adores him which makes me smile so much!

Happy Birthday Barnabas. We love you x

2014 Project365 (Day 157)

Feral children

It has been the most beautiful day and we spent some of it on the beach.

On the way home The Little Mister and I popped in to see my Dad as he was looking after my niece and nephew. The kids were ‘helping’ him in the garden. They were absolutely filthy and their feet were completely black but they were having a wonderful time!!

2014 Project365 (Day 7)

The ChefGoing to visit my sister is great for The Little Mister. They have loads of toys and most of them are highly inappropriate for a one year old, which means he loved them!

This is my niece’s play kitchen and The Little Mister is often to be found preparing a snack for us all. Either that of he is trashing the lovely long line of cars that my nephew has just laid out!
