This afternoon I had to go and sing at a wedding with choir..
Very kindly The Mister agreed to look after our kids and my friend Emma’s children. I think he did a good job. They all looked quite happy really!
This morning I was a meeting when my phone rang and it was the childminder calling. Of course that always worries me in case something has happened so I scooted out to take the call.
On the other end of the phone was The Little Mister chattering away about the fact that he managed to get his 10m swimming badge. He was so pleased with it, and was even more pleased with the toy blueberry he had got from the Co-Op.
I am super proud of this boy. He is tenacious and brave and determined. All the things that make him wonderful.
Today The Little Miss granted me half an hours peace with one of her rare naps.
It was bliss. I drove to a coastal car park, drank coffee and read my book.
These small moments of quiet are to be cherished. Life is busy, noisy and fulfilling but it is also exhausting. However, it’s nice sometimes to just be able to sit in the quiet.
