2015 Project365 (Day 304)

My family

It has been the most beautiful Autumn day. Hard to believe that it is the very last day of October really.

The Mister and I went to Castle Cornet for the Hallowtide festival. The festival itself was ok. but not amazing but it was just gorgeous to be out. It was so warm it felt like it could be May time.

I wanted to take a nice photo to put in the Christmas Card to our Compassion children and this is what I came up with. I think it should be fine. At least we look happy!

2015 Project365 (Day 303)

Puddle jumping

It’s been a slightly weird day. It’s half term which means our usual ativites weren’t on and I was missing Mum so much because today was exactly the sort of day I would have spent with her. My sister was also on holiday so I felt a bit lonely.

My lovely friends certainly stepped up though and we had lunch and some play with my friend Emma and her kids and then we went to the park and met up with some more friends and their girls who are the same age as The Little Mister.

I appreciate these people so much. They help me so much and especially on a day like today when I need company they really make a difference. Thank you.

The Little Mister had a thoroughly lovely time jumping in puddles. Muddy, wet and full of snot. He was a very happy chappy!

2015 Project365 (Day 302)

Old filmAnother treasure from one of the cupboards in the office. I had no idea there was even a cupboard there and we had to get a crowbar to open it because we didn’t have a key!

In the locked cupboard we found an ancient video projector and this reel of what I think is 8mm film.

I know that there are images on the film and I am desperate to see what is on it! Unfortunately I have no idea how to thread the reel into the projector!

2015 Project365 (Day 301)

Northern YouthWe are starting to clear out our offices at work ready for a big move to the new build at the hospital.

I have no idea how long CDAT has lived in this building, 20 years maybe?, but it certainly feels like it.

There are loads of books that I am sure would have been very forward thinking in their time but now they are just archaic.

This one made me laugh. I think it was printed in 1967. I think I know a few of those dodgy drinking Northern young people.

Pussy cat toes

Day 300 and a picture of pussy cat toes!

Our kittens are very special as both of them have 6 toes on each foot. Apparently it isn’t that unusual but I do think it is quite sweet

2015 Project365 (Day 299)

Park LifeThings seem to be going well with the new childminder and it is fab to get nice photos from her during the day when I am at work.

This was one she sent me today. The Little Mister is looking so grown-up these days. He’s turning into such a handsome boy.

2015 Project365 (Day 298)

Ducks

Such a beautiful day today. This morning I walked to church with the children and this afternoon we took them to the park for a bit of scooting and triking.

We also fed the ducks and The Little Mister was very tickled when they would eat the food off his hand.

I love afternoons like this. Time spent with my lovely family. Much needed today as I am feeling a little sensitive and missing my Mum a lot.

Today I am grateful for sunny Autumn days, for a little boy who flies about on his scooter and makes me smile, a husband who is currently in the kitchen mopping the floor and a little girl who is smiley and happy. Life is good.

Happy pottering

The Mister and I managed to get out and do a bit in the garden tonight. We have loads of pruning an tidying to do but with two small children it is inevitably a bit more difficult than it used to be!

When The Little Miss woke we ended up having to block the steps off with the sand table to stop her escaping. To be honest she was really quite happy pottering about. She is very funny at the moment.

PlanesThis afternoon we met my friend Vicky and her children at the airport.

A nice coffee and the boys happily watched the planes. A lovely afternoon out.

2015 Project365 (Day 295)

Blast off!According to The Little Mister this is his rocket and he keeps shouting BLAST OFF!!!

Since starting pre-school he has been bringing home all his new artwork and I have no idea what to do with it all. Some stuff gets stuck to the fridge, but 3D work is a new one for me.

I guess he can keep it for a while, and then we will recycle it!
