2015 Project365 (Day 294)

Bouncing

I was going to put a hugely unflattering photo of me on a trampoline today but instead I thought I would put one of my colleague Paula and my colleague Jill.

One of my colleagues coaches trampolining so she invited us to go along for a taster session. I used to trampoline at school and absolutely loved it but it has been a long time since I did it. It was such fun although much more tiring than I remember… oh that will be because I am a lot older and a lot fatter!

It was a pretty good test of how my pelvic floor is holding up after having two children though!

Siblings

These two beauties are the lights of my life.

They are getting to be really funny with each other. It’s obvious they adore each other but are already fighting one minute and then giving each other kisses and cuddles the next.

I hope that they will be lovely friends over the years and will always defend, love and care for each other.

2015 Project365 (Day 291)

Pumpkin party

We’ve had such a lovely day.

Today we went out with our friends and they kids and this afternoon we went out to a local farm which grows pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. The children had a wander around and chose a few pumpkins to buy. The Little Mister bought a dinky little one that he kept kissing saying it was ‘his favourite pumpkin and his best friend.’ Cute.

After that we went to the beach for a run about and finished with a fab meal at a local restaurant.

It was so nice to spend time with people who are chilled and easy going and best of all our kids get along beautifully.

Thanks guys… let’s go out and play again soon!

Ps) Do you know how hard it is to get 4 children looking at the camera at the same time?!

2015 Project365 (Day 290)

Thrive2020I have had a really interesting day today as I have been at a conference called Thrive2020 which was run by the Dandelion Project whose aim is to make Guernsey the best place in the world to live.

This conference focused on mental health and had some amazing speakers. Probably my favourite of the day was Professor David Nutt who was talking about cannabis and the benefits of it and why it should be legalised.

I liked the format of the day. Talks of about 20 minutes with a short break every 4 talks or so. Food and drink available throughout and I could stand and wander about whenever I liked which was good news as the chairs were bloody uncomfortable.

Brilliant day but not my brain has gone into meltdown.

There were also talks about self-directed learning and mindfulness so whilst one of the talks was going on I engaged in a bit of mindful doodling.

2015 Project365 (Day 289)

PlaytimeI love Fridays because they are my day off. We usually have swimming lessons and often we get a chance to have a bit of time in the park before.

Not to mention I get the opportunity to spend more time with this glorious little being. He’s certainly a cheeky chappie who is keeping me on my toes but I adore him!

2015 Project365 (Day 288)

Is that comfy?I have kept the cat basket in the kitchen for the last few weeks to ensure that that kittens are happy going in there.

It would seem that The Little Miss is also very comfortable in there!

2015 Project365 (Day 287)

Breakfast smilesI am pretty knackered at the moment but there is no way I can complain when I see this gorgeous face first thing in the morning.

The Little Miss is such a happy smiley girl (apart when she is screaming and having a tantrum because she hasn’t got what she wants!) but she makes me smile so much.

Today I am counting my blessings. She is just one of them.

2015 Project365 (Day 286)

The peace processUnfortunately out big cat Mabel is not impressed with the baby intruders in her house.

To be honest she has spent a lot of time in the garage and the garden, although she did even before the kittens arrived.

However, as the weather has started to get colder we are keen for her to come in the house so we have started a programme of friendship building.

UN Style Negotiations here we come!

2015 Project365 (Day 285)

BooteesMonday is always the day of rubbish photos! Work is manic and I have choir in the evening so I feel really rushed off my feet!

Today I went for my orientation at the new Mental Health building at the hospital. It was lovely to see the new facilities and the mental health wards are going to be so much better than what they have already!

I can’t quite see us moving in on time though! When we went round we had to wear these rather attractive bootees every time we went upstairs as they had been cleaning. Gorgeous.
