These two cheeky children love helping their Daddy move the car a bit further down the driveway.
I love these two. Sparky, funny and naughty – they are wonderful.
This morning The Mister took The Little Mister to the aeroclub open day whilst the girls went to church.
They had a fab time and The Little Mister got to sit in the fire engine and the cockpit of the air search plane.
It was hilarious to listen to him telling his little sister all about his trip out. I can’t believe how grown up he looks now.
This afternoon The Mister and I went to hear Terry Waite talk as part of the Guernsey Literary Festival.
He was really interesting, surprisingly funny and extremely tall (6′ 7″!!)
The Literary festival is fab and has had lots of interesting speakers over. Tomorrow we are going to a literary kids tea party!
(Would love to write more but it is Eurovision time!!)
After picking up the kids I met my sister and the children at the park.
They were zooming about on their scooters being rather entertaining and they also found this patch of very long grass and disappeared into it for a while.
I think this photo would look awesome with a lion photo-shopped into the background!
This evening I went to a friend’s induction service at a local parish church.
It was brilliant to see him become a Rector, although the service was archaic, rather amusing in places and completely bizarre in others. I spent a good proportion of the evening wondering whether the Bishop of Dover’s staff came apart so he could pack it into a suitcase, and whether he carried his mitre in hand-luggage and if he got funny looks putting it through airport scanners.
Here is a photo of Rev Adrian in front of my favourite stained glass window in the church!
The Little Miss spent most of the afternoon in the Toddler Tula sling. She is really heavy to carry in arms but she is super comfortable in the sling. Unfortunately due to having a sore ankle still I couldn’t carry her but so The Mister had to and then of course he had The Little Mister on his shoulders.
He’s such a super dad.
Today was Liberation Day – 72 years since the island was liberated from the occupying German forces.
We spent the morning in the garden and then went into town in the afternoon to see the cavalcade and the kids played in the Creation Station tent and did colouring and making. It was brilliant.
Had a lovely day with the kids and my sister and it was so lovely that the weather was gorgeous, although the wind was a little chilly.
