Auntie Knows Best

On Monday the kids and The Mister took part in the World Aid Walk which is a 20lm walk raising money for several charities. It was a glorious day, sunny but with a brisk wind and the whole event went really well. I was busy selling t-shirts and helping out whilst they all worked and I cruised about on my bike. Fun.

It was quite a busy week at work but everything was gearing up for the big celebrations at the weekend for the Coronation of King Charles III.

On Saturday morning we all went to my friend Emma’s house to watch the big event and we had lunch together. I even made a caake with a Crown on it.

We had a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed all the pomp and ceremony of the event, but I especially enjoyed the choral music. Just lovely!

Today I went to help out my sister at a local fundraining event called The World Aid Walk. It has been going for many years and it’s current incarnation is either a 20km or a 10km walk across the west coast of Guernsey. It is a beautiful walk and today was a lovely day for it.

The Little Miss decided last night that she wanted to do it so our lovely friend Kayleigh and her sister Vikki took her with them. The plan was that she would keep walking as long as she could and then we would pick her up…. well…. she only went and smashed the full 20km!!

I was so proud of her. Minimal moaning and whinging and she did a fabulous job. Thankyou to Kayleigh and Vikki for taking her.

I spent the day selling t-shirts and organising stuff. It was a busy but fabulous day.
