2015 Project365 (Day 262)

Kitten loveThe kittens are settling in nicely although they are being tormented by the kids who keep lovingly carrying them around. The kittens seem perfectly happy with this arrangement though. Fools.

They are also very cuddly lap-caps which is delightful. They certainly like assisting The Mister with his work.

2015 Project365 (Day 259)

New boss

This morning I took The Little Mister to work with me to open up before I dropped him off at pre-school.

He made me laugh loads as he was sitting at my boss’s desk ‘on the phone’ to Grandpa saying “Hi Grandpa, I going to pre-school in a minute, Love you. Bye.”

Allied aircrew memorial

Some days I am just not organised enough to remember a photo, and these are the days that I try and nick a delightful photo from someone else.

The lucky recipient today is my talented cousin Tim. He took this photo of the new memorial to 153 Allied airmen who were known to have died in Bailiwick waters.

It is an absolutely beautiful tribute to those men who died and this is a gorgeous photo.

2015 Project365 (Day 257)

Lieutenant Governor Air Marshall Peter Walker

Today I popped into town to take some meds back to the pharmacy for work. I thought it would be a quick trip unfortunately when I came down the steps I realised that there was a massive line of people in uniform and I was unable to get the car off the pier.

Today it was the Lieutenant Governor of Guernsey, Air Marshall Peter Walker’s thanksgiving service. He died very unexpectedly a week ago at the age of 65. He was much loved by islanders and he and his wife had thrown themselves into island life and being the Queen’s representatives on the island.

The service was broadcast on tannoy in town and it was lovely to see all the people in uniform, as well as so many people lining the seafront.

The Governor will be much missed, as will his wife. RIP Air Marshall Walker.

Ancient History

No pictures today so here is a classic Ancient History number.

This is me with my cousin Mark and I am guessing we are about two and a half years old, so the same age as The Little Mister is now.

I can’t get over how blonde we both were!

2015 Project365 (Day 254)

BeachThis afternoon the kids and I spent a glorious afternoon at the playground and on the beach with my friend Gillian and her two boys.

It was nice to sit, and watch the boys run about and eat biscuits and just catch up. Can you spot the boys in the rocks?

Good friends are hard to find and I very much appreciate Gillian and her husband Andy and their two boys. What is lovely is our children will be at school together so I anticipate Gillian and I have have many year of gin drinking to look forward to.

2015 Project365 (Day 253)

Scooter Demon

I love Friday’s because it’s my day off.

This morning was busy with swimming lessons and then the kids and I walked to the park. The Little Mister was absolutely steaming his way around the park on his scooter. He is so fast and he kind of gets really low down and takes the corners at speed. Awesome!
