2013 Project365 (Day 111)

Sunday afternoonAnother gorgeous day today. The Little Mister and I walked to church and then had lunch with my sister and her family and some of their friends.

On the way home we stopped off at Richmond Kiosk and sat in the car, looked at the sear and ate some rather delicious Guernsey Ice-Cream. The Little Mister looks less than impressed about this arrangement for some reason.

After that I had a rather lovely afternoon nap whilst father and son spent some quality time together!

2013 Project365 (Day 110)

Blooming marvellousIt has been a beautiful, sunny and warm day on Guernsey. This beautiful plant is on the window ledge in my parents conservatory. I think it is a ranunculous and it is beautiful!

I have spent the day going to a carboot sale, walking with The Little Mister in the buggy.

This evening was spent at my sister’s house eating fajitas and watching crap TV shows with my Mum and my sister.

Life is good.

2013 Project365 (Day 109)

Row, row, row your boat.I am absolutely knackered tonight so this will be just a quick one.

Today I was at my Mum and Dad’s house and Dad had a delivery. The box became a boat and Eden and Barnabas went rowing and there was lots of squealing when they were trying to avoid the imaginary crocodiles.

I love seeing children using their imaginations and enjoying creative play!

2013 Project365 (Day 108)

We are familyMy cousin and his wife had a baby 4 days after The Little Mister was born.

This is Clara and her Granny (my aunt) with The Little Mister. Clara feels like a cute light little dolly in comparison to the chunk on the right!

One of the things I remember about growing up on the island was spending time with my cousins. I hope that our children have the same experiences and get to enjoy time on the beach, playing together and enjoying being family.

2013 Project365 (Day 107)

Happy birthdayToday is my younger sister’s birthday. We had a nice lunch together and then The Little Mister and I walked to her house and sat in the garden with a bunch of her friends and their kids.

I love living near enough to my family that we can just wander to their houses and spend time together.

The Little Mister continues to be proper snotty and generally a bit grumpy. He wouldn’t smile for the camera today, in fact he wouldn’t even look at it!

Happy birthday Lou 🙂

2013 Project365 (Day 106)

Bleurgh! Our poor boy has a nasty cold which seems to have been making him a bit pukey. Poor little thing is coughing and sniffing all over the place.

We were having a lovely snuggle when he suddenly puked all over my shoulder. Gross! Minutes after this he was all smiles again though.

I hope he gets over it soon because I hate seeing him poorly.

2013 Project365 (Day 105)

Spring has sprungIt feels like Spring has actually sprung today!

This morning The Mister and I walked up with The Little Mister to the animal shelter to see if they have any kittens. At the moment they have no young cats or kittens suitable for re-homing with a young baby which is a shame as I am desperate to get a couple of cats! If anyone knows of any available please let me know.

This photo was taken in my garden. I have no idea what plant it is but is the most glorious splash of vivid yellow.

2013 Project365 (Day 104)

FlowersIt has been such a lovely day today and I have been pretty active. I walked to church which took about 45 minutes and then Mum and I walked back to my house after lunch.

We walked through the park and the flowers are looking gorgeous and this flower-bed had obviously recently been planted and it was so cheerful. Roll on spring!

2013 Project365 (Day 103)

The Light of my LifeWell I have had a bit of a crappy day.

The Mister still has a stinking cold and is coughing, spluttering and snorting everywhere. The Little Mister is also full of snot and I have generally been feeling rubbish and a bit tearful today.

When The Mister went to work I went to my Mum and Dad’s and cried. Then I lay on the sofa in front of the fire and slept and read my book whilst Mum took The Little Mister for a walk to make him sleep.

Now I feel much better. This photo was taken after The Little Mister had a bath and a baby massage. He has started looking at himself in mirrors, we have one on the headrest of the car so I can see him and I caught him smiling at himself. I think he is watching himself in this picture and it certainly cheered me up.

2013 Project365 (Day 102)

Finally.. some sun!!!Finally it would seem that the weather has started to pick up (fingers crossed!) and my niece and nephew were really keen to get outside and play with the sandpit. I love to see them engaging in some creative play and they are so funny to listen to when they don’t know you are listening!
