2016 Project366 (Day 21)

Glorious

Such a beautiful start to the day.

It might not be a glorious sunrise over the sea or lovely countryside, instead it is just over the houses opposite our house, but look at those colours! Truly beautiful!

Soft play

Today our childminder sent me this lovely photo of the kids at the soft play area.

They look so happy it made me smile a lot when I was in the middle of a tricky meeting at work!

2016 Project366 (Day 19)

Are you tired Daddy?

Why on earth would he want to sit on a chair when he has a very comfortable Daddy to sit on?

A comfy seat and Bing Bunny (“I want to watch all of the Bing’s in the whole world Mummy”!) on the TV. What could be better?

Ave Maria

Monday night is choir night and we are rehearsing for the eisteddfod.

We have been practising this gorgeous Ave Maria by Gustav Holst. It is in eight parts and is tough but sounds absolutely divine.

Having to concentrate so hard on singing a piece of music is really good for stress relief!

2016 Project366 (Day 17)

Digging with Daddy

Today has been a really hard day.

I longed to be a mother for so long but today my children have been driving me bonkers!! All we have had is whingy whiny children and The Little Mister going ‘mummy, mummy, mummy’ and The Little Miss crying for no particular reason.

I feel like positive parenting has been entirely absent today.

However, in the middle of these difficulties there have been some lovely moments and watching The Little Mister digging with his Daddy is one of them.

I am hopeful the week improves otherwise my alcohol intake is gong to increase substantially.

2016 Project366 (Day 16)

Friends

Today was mainly spent at home with poorly children and even I felt unwell.

Fortunately my lovely husband let me go back to bed for a couple of hours and then I went out in the evening with my lovely friends Gillian and Emma. It’s good to catch up, drink wine and eat steak.

Good friends are so hard to find and I am so grateful for these lovely ladies.

2016 Project366 (Day 15)

Blue BottleToday I have mostly been stuck at home with two poorly children with tummy bugs. We did manage a short walk to the supermarket and back but otherwise we have stayed in with the fire lit.

By the time The Mister got home I was starting to feel desperate so I cracked out this bad boy. It was well worth it.

2016 Project366 (Day 14)

Poorly boy

My poor gorgeous Bear really isn’t terribly well this evening. He has been sick several times and even refused dinner which is most unlike him!

Fortunately Grandpa came for dinner, clutching his trusty iPad which cheered The Little Mister up immensely!

He has gone to bed with no dinner and a bowl by his bed. I hope he will be ok in the morning.

Steak stir-fry

On a Wednesday I head out to a Pilates class with my friend Gillian. As a result we have a quick dinner when I get back. Tonight’s offering was steak and vegetable stir-fry. It was delicious and diet friendly!

2016 Project366 (Day 12)

Undress for dinnerAt mealtimes our children tend to undress for dinner. It saves on additional washing!

The Little Miss is particularly fond of her food and tonight she hoovered up some chicken and mushroom risotto before starting on The Little Mister’s. Greedy Madam.

It seems that most of my recent photos are of The Little Miss but that is mainly because she is much more compliant than The Little Mister!
